Kristin Cavallari Accuses Husband of 'Marital Misconduct' In Divorce Papers Amid Cheating Rumours

Yesterday, Kristin Cavallari and her husband Jay Cutler shared the sad news on Instagram that they were getting a divorce, after 10 years together.

While the couple’s joint statement appeared amicable, documents filed by Cavallari reveal a very different story. The former Laguna Beach star claims her husband is ‘guilty’ of martial ‘misconduct’ in divorce papers filed on Friday.

The couple have been plagued by cheating rumours throughout their relationship. One rumour even played out as a storyline on Cavallari’s reality show, Very Cavallari.

In the latest season of the show, Cavallari had a falling out with her former best friend Kelly Henderson after growing speculation online,

Henderson and Cutler were having an affair.

While Cavallari was vocal that she didn’t believe the rumours, she was upset by how her friend handled the situation. According to Cavallari, Henderson, attempted to ‘fuel the fire’ by posting about Cutler on her Twitter page in order to get attention, which she believed wasn’t cool.

“If I was accused of having an affair with your husband, I wouldn't say his f***ing name on social media. Like, come on,' Kristin exclaimed to friends Justin Anderson and Stephanie 'Biegs' Biegel on her reality show.

“Instead of her just owning her side of it and being like, ‘I’m sorry! Oh my God, that was never my intention,’ or whatever, she kept giving me push back and would get really defensive. And then she literally stopped responding to me,” Kristin continued. She also revealed in an episode earlier this month that her marriage was not what it appeared from the outside. “Jay has been great, yes. From the outside, things are so perfect and things are so great. But actually, they're not. And that sucks. Its sucks. That's the thing, though, with marriage... it's ups and downs,” she told the cameras. The documents allege the former footballer is ‘guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper.' The announcement of their spilt follows their family holiday to the Bahamas. The family copped backlash online after sharing happy snaps during Covid-19.

Interestingly, the separation papers were filed the day they returned to Nashville. The couple have three children together.
