The reported salaries served up to the Master Chef All Star contestants has just been released and it makes us wish we took cooking more seriously in Home Economics. According to New Idea magazine, popular contestants Poh Ling Yeow and Hayden Quinn were reportedly paid $40,000 each for their appearances on the hit show.
While the magazine didn’t reveal the exact figures the three new judges, Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen, it’s understood their pay packets far ‘outweigh’ the combined salaries of the returning contestants.

While it’s unclear how much world famous chef Gordon Ramsey was paid for his role as guest judge, it's understood he would have demanded a similar six-figure pay pack. I’m sure the Network Ten team are breathing a sigh of relief that the cooking program is doing so well this year! It's first episode brought in more viewers than the Nine powerhouse Married At First Sight.
